Project #7: Waffles and Ice Cream
Waffle weave is threaded as a point twill on shaft looms, and then woven with varying float lengths to create a fabric that collapses in on itself when wet finished. It creates a thick, absorbent fabric, perfect for towels.
For rigid-heddle looms, the effect is replicated with pick-up sticks.
