Vermont Weaving Supplies Clubs offers weaving projects sent to your home six times a year. Here’s a sampling of our club kits. Check back periodically—sometimes we offer kits for sale to non-club members.
KIT #8: Rag Rugs • JULY 2022
In July 2022, the Weaving Clubs worked with using Brassard cotton as warp and recycled fabric as weft, to explore color, texture, movement, and form in rag rugs.
The suggested colors were Blanchi #101, Gris Fonce #271, Vieux Bleu #94, and Limette Pale #4269.

KIT #7: Waffles and Ice Cream • MAY 2022
In May 2022, the Weaving Clubs worked with waffle weave, which plays around with combinations of long floats and plain weave, to create a fabric that collapses in on itself when wet finished.
The suggested colors were Wine #8264, Brick #4270, Rouge Scarlet #5116, and Vieil Or #1418.

KIT #6: SPRING NAPKINS • MARCH 2022
In March 2022, the Weaving Club’s rigid-heddle weavers explored Supplemental Weft. Four-shaft weavers worked on Monk’s Belt and eight-shaft weavers wove Overshot.
The suggested colors were Peche #1525, Rose Pale #1768, Lilas #1507, and Vert Pale #1831.

KIT #5: REP WEAVE PLACEMATS • January 2022
In January 2022, the Weaving Clubs explored rep weave using a dense sett, alternating warp colors, and alternating thick and thin weft yarns to weave placemats, table runners, or both.
The suggested colors were Rouille #1316, Orange Brule #8265, and Rouge Vin #5115.

KIT #4: JEWEL TOne TOWELS • October 2021
In October 2021, the Weaving Clubs worked with jewel tones and fun details.
The suggested colors were Noir #83, Mauve Pale #5120, Royal #963, and Aqua Marine #5206.
Eight shaft weavers explored weaving hearts.

KIT #3: ATWATER-BRONSON TOWELS • AUGUST 2021
In August 2021, the Weaving Clubs worked with the texture and solid warps and wefts.
The suggested colors were Teal #5068, Denim #5132, and Gris Pale #415.
Rigid heddle weavers worked with pick-up techniques. Four and eight shaft weavers explored blocks.

KIT #2: Summer Towels • June 2021
In June 2021, the Weaving Clubs worked with the soothing, cooling, soft colors of summer.
The suggested colors were Jaune Or #3161, Orange Pale #1315, Blanchi #101, and Periwinkle #5067.
Rigid Heddle weavers explored hand manipulated lace. Four and eight shaft weavers explored bird's eye twills.

KIT #1: Napkins • May 2021
In May 2021, the Weaving Clubs worked on making napkins.
The suggested colors were Limette #8267, Vert Fonce #1152, Bleu #4272, Mauve #5153.
Rigid heddle weavers worked in plain weave and explored stripes and warp/weft color interactions. Four and eight shaft weavers explored Huck Lace.

More on Our Learn Club
Part learning, part social, part support.
The Learn clubs are a great program for weavers troubleshooting the nuts and bolts, for weavers who want to dig deeper into structure theory, and for weavers wanting more connection and support from other weavers.
Included with the Learn clubs are written learning supplements, access to extra videos, packed with information and helpful hints, and group zoom meetings (office hours) that meet every 7-10 days on a schedule that rotates to give the most access for the most weavers.
All videos from past kits are made available to Learn club members, including videos on how to warp your loom and throw your shuttle correctly, and past zoom meetings.
