the vision

My life calling is to empower others to make cloth, and in doing so, help them discover, develop and build confidence in their ability to create beauty. 

I am a weaving teacher. This is the foundation for every product I sell, every customer I speak with, every conversation I have with another weaver. It is all about learning and teaching. I want you to weave. I want to empower you to weave.

Growing from the seeds of Vermont Weaving School, and from not being able to meet in person during covid, I have built Vermont Weaving Supplies as a business to teach and empower.

At the beginning of 2025, I returned to a dream from 35 years ago of opening up a weaving bed and breakfast. It’s one more step towards fulfilling my vision. Stay tuned for our opening on the island of Terceira in the Azores (Portugal), in the spring of 2026.

Seeds are sewn in the soil of adversity. I am grateful for the time to rest and regroup. I am grateful for the SBA pandemic assistant loans and the Vermont emergency business grants. I am grateful for the guidance I have received. It has all enabled the dream to become a reality.
